Last weekend I was catching up with comics and one of them was Daken and can I talk about what a hot mess this comic is? I really preferred it when Marjorie Liu was writing it and Guiseppe Camuncoli was doing the art but even then it was kind of meandering plot-wise. “But Camuncoli draws the best smug smirking sociopaths!” I said to myself. Although from an artistic standpoint I did enjoy the scribbly, messy art style of “oh shit Daken is tripping balls on Heat or whatever that shit is called.” I guess what I was saying is that I should just go back and re-read Dark Avengers era Daken because that was some mighty fine trolling on his part.
Anyway, Daken #17 really delivers, because Daken is in his boxers like the whole issue! And says things like this? So, there’s that.
