I love the hell out of Mr. Miracle and Big Barda but I don’t think I’ve ever really drew them. Especially since I’ve started drawing decently. So here is me doing something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I was going to add more rendering or tones but then I thought, why? I couldn’t answer myself and I liked where it was at so here this is. I hope you like it. This is my favorite love story in comics.

I got this yesterday: a Mister Miracle and Big Barda set. Her helmet is removable. It also came with an Oberon.
another one to add to the Big Barda collection (Taken with instagram)
Oh man, Big Barda! She is just so great. What I would give for, I don’t know, a Big Barda and the Female Furies title or just for DC to bring back the New Gods.
So anyway. For some classic Big Barda, I recommend you start with Mister Miracle v1. She is introduced in issue #4, but you might as well read the first three issues while you’re at it!
Then there’s Mister Miracle v2 otherwise known as Scott and Barda attempt to have a Quiet Suburban Lifestyle™. Around this era of comics (the late eighties), she is also in Justice League International for a few issues.
Oh, and she shows up in Birds of Prey!
For scattered appearances, here’s a comprehensive list. They list Death of the New Gods on there but since I’ve never read it I like to pretend whatever events transpired there never happened and Scott and Barda are really living it up in some remote suburb somewhere, okay.

LOOK AT BARDA! LOOK AT HER IN THOSE OVERALLS! I BET SHE COULD WORK MIRACLES WITH THOSE TOOLS! UNF
i just love her so much
